Modify a Recipe to use what's on hand

I had 4 bananas that were at that point.... you know... the banana bread stage.
I printed out a copy of my PINEAPPLE BANANA BREAD recipe from COOK OUT LOUD. I wanted to make a double batch, so I could give some banana bread to friends. I had to add a bit more pineapple to each, since I was a banana short for each batch. I only had 3 eggs, not 4... so I split the 3rd egg between the 2 batches and added 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil to each. I didn't have raisins, so I used dried cranberries. I didn't have an orange, so I used strawberry preserves instead of the juice and zest of an orange. I used chopped walnuts on top instead of almonds. The point is.... don't shy away from making stuff just because you are a couple ingredients short. Instead, get creative!
